2021 July 17th: Postcards and Notecards

Our second event at the 2021 Farmers Market was on July 17th, featuring postcards of Town Hall reflected in the pond above Converse bridge.

---------------------------------------------------
The postcard: This free Letters Trellis postcard features Winchester Town Hall as reflected in Mill Pond above the waterfall from Mystic Valley Parkway. Turned upside down, the postcard photo shows Town Hall as right-side up, perhaps as viewed from a curtained window. You are invited to “turn upside down” the tradition of sending a postcard from afar; instead send news from your hometown area. Stop by the Letters Trellis tent to pick up the postcard. We’ll stamp and mail any cards completed at our writing desk and left with us at the tent.

Calligraphy notecards were also given away; here are some samples:

2021 Season at the Winchester Farmers Market begins June 19th.

A guest writes her letter at the writing desk between two trellises.

We also made about 20 personalized calligraphy notecards for visitors to the booth, to
encourage them to write a short note if a letter seemed to be a big challenge.
These are available at no charge, one to a customer.  Keeping the original and making copies
to write and send can make one special note card go a long way.
